The international research network plans to publish one final handbook and a series of special issues in different journals as well a series of radio features:
a) Zeitschrift für Semiotik: initial articles from the work produced by network members and guests will be published in a special section of the renowned German Zeitschrift für Semiotik (Journal of Semiotics) edited by Roland Posner. The scheduled publication date is 2011/2012, under the working title ‘Begriffe des Klangs’ (The Terminology of Sound).
b) Positionen: selected articles by network members and guests will be published in a special section of the renowned German Journal Positionen – Texte zur aktuellen Musik (Texts on current Music) edited by Gisela Nauck. The scheduled publication date is March 2011, under the working title ‘Sound Culture’.
c) Klangkunst/Deutschlandradio Berlin: in a series of radio features for the renowned weekly radio show ‘Klangkunst’ at the national german radio Deutschlandradio Berlin, the research questions, discussions and new developments in sound studies will be presented by network members and guests.
d) Reference handbook: the final publication will be a reference handbook with key articles on the most important research fields of Sound Studies, scheduled for release in the year 2013/14, possibly in the new book series Sound Cultures edited by Michael Bull at Routledge Publishers.
We are currently considering further platforms and modes of publication that will be presented on this webpage when applicable.
